Marhaba is an Arab word meaning “a deserving welcome” with warmth and happiness. The purpose of Marhaba is to give authentic kinship to the Tourist-of-African-descent, bridge the family bond gap and promote instant connections through the initiation of personalities of African- descent resident here and from other parts of the continent into the Ghanaian culture, traditions and heritage.
Marhaba will include celebrations and merrymaking with local food and drink bazaar, bonfire, etc. Marhaba stakeholders will converge to experience sincere fraternity, networking and association amidst rich display and portrayal of timeless cultural practices. Marhaba will involve demonstrations and portrayals of embracing, welcome, hailing, salutations and greetings as practised by the various tongues and tribes in Ghana. Chiefs and Queen mothers will grace the occasion as hosts amidst depictions of pomp and pageantry.
